Additionally, as a Latina and first-generation American, I specialize in helping people of color, immigrants, and first-generation Americans.

I understand the importance of exploring your background, personal history, and life experiences to help you gain a better perspective of your whole self.

As a daughter of parents who emigrated from the Dominican Republic in the 1970s, I also understand firsthand the struggle of feeling displaced and floating between two worlds that many first-generation Americans feel.

We don’t “get over” or “move on” from our trauma. Instead, we make space for it. We carry it and learn to live with it. And sometimes, we thrive in spite of it.

My trauma-informed therapies for individuals and couples are tailored to meet your needs.

I’m a certified EMDR specialist. I also incorporate proven strategies and skills from various approaches, including:

As a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist in New York, I offer sessions in English or Spanish.
